ESTA: Permits citizens from eligible countries to visit the U.S. for tourism, business, or transit purposes for up to 90 days without needing a visa. Some of the eligible countries are: European countries, Australia, Japan
B1B2 (Visitor Visa): Foreign nationals who do not qualify for the Visa Waiver Program, or those intending to stay longer than 90 days or engage in activities that the VWP does not permit.
